In case you are wondering how much weight you have put on; then here you can access a calorie calculator to give an accurate count. The Calorie Calculator is used to approximate the calories you need to consume on daily basis. This calculator can also benefit you in case you are looking for weight gain or reduction.
This Calorie Calculator is based on the Mifflin – St Jeor equation. The formula to calculate the BMR is:
BMR = 10 * weight (kg) + 6.25 * height (cm) – 5 * age(y) + 5 (man)
BMR = 10 * weight (kg) + 6.25 * height (cm) – 5 * age(y) – 161 (woman)
The calories essential to maintain weight equals to the BMR value, multiplied by an activity factor. To loss 1 pound, or 0.5kg per week, you need to remove 500 calories from your daily meal. Maintain proper exercise and diet schedule. It is suggested not to lose more than 1000 calories per day. Balance your diet with nutritious food.
🧮 Mifflin-St Jeor Equation
🔹 BMR tells you how many calories you burn at rest. To determine your total daily calorie needs, multiply BMR by your activity level:
- Sedentary (little exercise): BMR × 1.2
- Lightly active (1-3 days/week exercise): BMR × 1.375
- Moderately active (3-5 days/week exercise): BMR × 1.55
- Very active (6-7 days/week exercise): BMR × 1.725
- Super active (heavy exercise, physical job): BMR × 1.9
